Laima — Cookie Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

Most cookie banners exist because a site is tracking you. Ours is short because we barely use cookies at all.

1. The website (getlaima.com)

Our marketing site — the page you're reading about pricing, features and FAQs — sets no cookies of its own. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no tracking across other websites. We don't build profiles on visitors and we don't sell anything about you.

The fonts and styles are served from our own site, so visiting the page doesn't send your details to any third party.

2. The booking pages (your Laima page)

A booking page has to remember things while a client is using it — for example, that this is the same conversation as thirty seconds ago. Cookies and similar storage used for that are strictly necessary: they make the service work and can't be switched off without breaking it.

What it's forTypeRoughly how long
Keeping a client's chat session togetherStrictly necessaryThe browsing session
Security and abuse protection (set by our hosting, Vercel)Strictly necessarySession / short-lived

Under UK and EU rules, strictly necessary cookies don't need consent — but you're entitled to know they exist, which is why they're listed.

3. What we don't do

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No cross-site tracking of your clients.
  • No selling or sharing of visitor data with advertisers.
  • No cookies used to profile end clients for marketing — theirs or ours.

4. Controlling cookies

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, there's nothing to opt out of on our side. If you want to block or delete cookies anyway, every browser lets you — check its privacy settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop a booking page working properly.

5. Changes

If we ever add a cookie that isn't strictly necessary — analytics, for instance — we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first, with a banner that has a genuine "no" button.

6. More information

How we handle personal data generally is in the Privacy Policy. Questions: hello@getlaima.com — a human answers.
